The president of Ghana, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be taking a final decision on whether school could open early January 2021.
Government earlier this year ordered the closure of schools in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Which was said is to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Cabinet is meeting today to decide on whether schools should open and under what modalities.
This was after the Conference of Heads of Assisted Senior Secondary schools (CHASS) called on the government to make available Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to all institutions when schools reopen.
Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on Twitter yesterday Tuesday, December 29, 2020, disclosed that today’s Cabinet meeting will decide on all that.
