The National Media Commission has urged journalists and media practitioners to be bold and report issues of attacks to them.
The commission said it is ready to follow up and investigate any form of attacks on journalists when such matters are brought before it since it's responsibility is to regulate and monitor activities of media houses.
The chairman of the National Media Commission, Yaw Boadu Ayeboafo who spoke during a regional consultative meeting on the safety of journalists wants media practitioners to have faith in the Commission when such incidents arise.
According to him, the police do not have the mandate to investigate issues of freedom of speech but it's the NMC's duty to do that.
