Result of the 2020 presidential Election which was keenly contested was released on 9th December 2020 by the returning officer and the chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
The result was released and a verdict was passed even though one Constituency's result was still being contested. According to the Electoral Commission, the outcome of that constituency would have no impact on the Verdict.
Thus Nana Akufo-Addo was pronounced president elect with 6,730, 413 votes representing 51.295%. The former president, John Mahama followed keenly with a total votes of 6,214,889 representing a little over 48%.
