Addressing the press in the early hours of Wednesday, December 9, 2020, the chairperson noted that, some electoral areas in the country could not start their voting on time and that delayed the collation of the results.
According to Madam Jean Adukwei Mensa, the electoral commission received various challenges contributing to the delay in announcing the results. She revealed that the rains in the hinterlands also affected the voting process.
In her statement, Madam Jane Mensa mentioned that all things being equal, the EC will announce the results by the close of today, Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
She also encouraged the general public to visit the Commission’s social media handles as well as their website for the certified results.
