Energy Minister, John Peter Amewu has reportedly won the Hohoe parliamentary seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He is the first candidate from the NPP to win the parliamentary seat in Hohoe since 2000.
It has always been a National Democratic Congress stronghold.
The revelation was made in a post by the Director of Communication at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin on Facebook.
In 2016, Mr Michael Yaw Gyato, unseated the incumbent NDC MP, Wisdom Gidisu who had been the incumbent for 12 years to win the Krachi East constituency for the NPP.
